Privacy Policy

Last updated 24 July 2026

This policy explains what information we collect about you, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the control you have over it. It applies to this website and to any inquiry form you complete about us on LinkedIn, Facebook or Instagram.

The short version. If you ask us to arrange a consultation, we pass your details to one independent financial adviser firm that is a registered investment adviser, so they can contact you. That is the whole purpose of the service. We never sell your details, and we never pass them to a panel of firms.

Who We Are

Your Retirement Insights provides expert financial education, independent insights and wealth management guidance. We are the data controller responsible for the information described in this policy.

We are not a registered investment adviser, and we do not give financial advice or make personal recommendations. Where you ask us to, we introduce you to financial advisers who are themselves registered as an investment adviser and regulated.

Information We Collect

Information you give us

When you complete an inquiry form, here or on a social media ad, we may collect:

Information we collect automatically

When you visit this site we collect limited technical information through server logs and, where you have consented, analytics and advertising cookies: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, and the ad or link that brought you here.

Information from advertising platforms

If you complete an inquiry form inside LinkedIn, Facebook or Instagram, that platform passes your answers to us. Those platforms are separate controllers of the data they hold about you, and their own privacy policies govern what they do with it.

Please don't send us sensitive information. We never ask for details of your health, ethnicity, religion, political opinions or anything similar, and we don't need them. Please don't include them in a message.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

We rely on your consent to contact you, to introduce you to an adviser, and to send you content you asked for. You can withdraw that consent at any time, and we will stop. We rely on our legitimate interests in running, improving and defending our business to keep records and measure advertising, and you can object to that. Where the law requires us to keep information, we rely on that legal obligation. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it.

Information Sharing

Financial adviser firms. If you ask us to arrange a consultation, we pass your name, contact details and your form answers to a single independent adviser firm that is a registered investment adviser. We will tell you which firm. From that point the firm is an independent controller of your information and its own privacy policy applies. We do not sell your details and we do not distribute them to a panel of firms.

Providers who work on our instructions. Our customer relationship and pipeline software, our telephony and contact-center software, our email, calendar and appointment-booking providers, and our website and form hosting. These act on our instructions only and cannot use your information for their own purposes.

Advertising platforms. LinkedIn, Meta and Google, in connection with the advertising and analytics described below.

Professional advisers and authorities. Our accountants, insurers and legal advisers, and any regulator, court or law-enforcement body where we are legally required to disclose.

Call Recording

We may record calls for training, quality and record-keeping. If a call is being recorded you will be told at the start, and you can ask us not to.

Data Security

We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including access controls, encryption in transit, and restricting access to staff who need it. No transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take our obligations seriously and will notify you and the relevant state consumer-protection authority where the law requires it.

We are based in the United Kingdom, so your information is transferred to and stored there, and some of the providers who work on our instructions operate elsewhere, including in the United States and South Africa. Wherever your information goes, we put contractual safeguards in place requiring those providers to protect it to the standard set out in this policy and to use it only on our instructions. You can ask us for details.

Data Retention

Your Rights

You have the right to:

We do not make any decision about you by automated means alone. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@yourretirementinsights.com and we will respond within 45 days, free of charge.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the relevant state consumer-protection authority at any time. California residents have additional rights under the CCPA, set out above.

California Privacy Rights

If you live in California, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA, gives you additional rights over the information we hold about you.

In the last 12 months we have collected these categories of personal information, for the purposes described above:

We collect this from you directly, from your browser, and from the advertising platforms named above. We disclose it for a business purpose to the adviser firm you ask us to introduce you to, and to the providers who work on our instructions. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined by the CCPA. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. We do not ask for sensitive personal information and ask you not to send it.

You have the right to know what we hold, to have it deleted, to have it corrected, to opt out of sale or sharing, to limit the use of sensitive personal information, and not to be treated differently for exercising any of these rights.

To exercise a right, email privacy@yourretirementinsights.com. We will verify your request by matching the details you give us against what we already hold, and respond within 45 days. You may use an authorized agent, in which case we will ask for proof of their authority.

Cookies and Tracking

This site uses cookies that are strictly necessary for it to work. We may also use analytics and advertising technologies, including the Meta pixel, the LinkedIn Insight Tag and Google Analytics, to measure how our advertising performs. Non-essential cookies are set only where you have consented, and you can change or withdraw that consent at any time. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser, though parts of the site may then not work as intended. We also load a web font service, which means your IP address is disclosed to that provider when the page loads.

Third-Party Links

Where we link to other websites, we do so for information only. We don't control them and we're not responsible for their content or how they handle your information.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed. If we make a significant change to how we use your information, we will take reasonable steps to tell you.
