Terms of Use

These terms cover your use of this website and any inquiry you send us. By using the site or making an inquiry, you accept them. If you don't accept them, please don't use the site.

Who We Are

Your Retirement Insights provides expert financial education, independent insights and wealth management guidance. You can reach us at info@yourretirementinsights.com.

We Don't Give Financial Advice

We are not a registered investment adviser. Nothing on this site is financial advice, a personal recommendation, or an invitation to buy or sell any investment or product.

Everything published here is general educational information. It doesn't take account of your circumstances, objectives or attitude to risk, and it may not be right for you. Before acting on anything you read here, get personal advice from a firm a registered investment adviser.

The value of investments and any income from them can fall as well as rise, and you may get back less than you invested. Past performance is not a guide to future performance. Tax treatment depends on your individual circumstances and may change. Retirement rules and allowances change from time to time, so content here may become out of date.

How Our Introductions Work

If you ask to speak to someone, we'll contact you to understand what you're looking for, then introduce you to one independent financial adviser firm that is a registered investment adviser. We'll tell you which firm. What that means in practice:

Because the adviser firm is registered as an investment adviser, it owes you a fiduciary duty and is overseen by the SEC or by its state securities regulator, and you can check its registration, its Form ADV and any disciplinary history at adviserinfo.sec.gov. There is no US scheme that reimburses investment losses or poor advice. SIPC protects customer assets only if a brokerage firm fails, and never covers a fall in the value of what you hold. Our introduction service is not regulated, because making an introduction is not investment advice.

Information You Give Us

Please make sure what you tell us is accurate, and that it's about you rather than someone else without their permission. You need to be 18 or over and resident in the United States. We handle your information as set out in our Privacy Policy.

Availability of the Site

We try to keep the site available, but we can't guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error free, and we may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it without notice.

Intellectual Property

All content on this site, including text, design, graphics and the Your Retirement Insights name and logo, belongs to us or our licensors. You're welcome to read and print it for your own personal use. Please don't republish, redistribute or use it commercially without our written permission.

Third-Party Links

Where we link to other websites, we do so for information only. We don't control them and we're not responsible for their content or how they handle your information.

Our Liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't be limited by law, and nothing here affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Subject to that, we're not liable for loss arising from your reliance on the general information published here, or for loss arising from advice given to you by an adviser firm we introduce you to, since that firm is responsible for its own advice.

Complaints

If you're unhappy with our introduction service, email info@yourretirementinsights.com. We'll acknowledge it promptly and respond within 30 days. If your complaint is about the advice you received, please raise it with the adviser firm directly, because that firm is a registered investment adviser and is subject to the oversight and complaint processes that apply to registered advisers.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and you agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Delaware, except where applicable law gives you the right to bring proceedings in your home state.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and the version published here when you use the site is the version that applies.
